ESPN just published an article about a possible PAC-16 with the Longhorns & Sooners both moving West. Plenty of people are up in arms about everything that’s going on in college football, but as you might be able to tell, I don’t care. Between scandals, the mess that is the BCS, and more scandals, I’ve given up wondering about whats good for the game. Whether we like it or not, money-grabbing will continue at the expense of both tradition and the integrity of the game.
But don’t get me wrong, I love college football. I don’t care about it in the off-season because its soul destroying, but when teams actually get out on the field and play, you repeatedly get the kind of product that watchers of the Auburn game yesterday were treated to. I don’t care how hopeless the whole venture is, football on Saturdays is one of the best things about this world.
